STOP WASTING FOOD AND MONEY!
Asparagus season is
February through June!
Remember, you save money when you purchase fruits and vegetables in season! When selecting asparagus, choose stalks that are firm and relatively the same size. It's best to cook asparagus the day you purchase it, but it can be stored for up to 3 days. The best way to store asparagus is by cutting the bottom half inch off the base of each stalk, then wrap in a wet paper towel and store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. You can also store standing up in an inch or two of water and covering with plastic wrap.
Try grilling your asparagus with a little olive oil and fresh lemon juice; salt and pepper to taste!
