Stir Fry Pork

  • 10 ounce snow peas frozen
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound pork
  • 1 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup celery
  • 1 cup onion
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 3 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 cup rice


    1. Slice pork into thin strips. Heat oil in a heavy skillet or wok over high heat; add pork and cook until brown, stirring constantly.
    2. Reduce heat; add 1/4 cup water. Cover and cook over low heat for 12 to 15 minutes or until meat is tender.
    3. Add celery, onion, water chestnuts and snow peas; cook and stir until vegetables are hot but still crisp (about 3 to 5 minutes).
    4. In a small bowl or cup, combine 1/4 cup water, soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic salt and ginger; then stir in remaining 1 1/4 cup water.
    5. Pour sauce over pork-vegetable mixture and heat, stirring constantly, until sauce is clear and thick (about 3 to 5 minutes).
    6. Serve immediately over hot rice or Chinese noodles.
