Quick Sweet and Sour Pork

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 1 count pepper red or green
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 2 cup rice

Directions

    1. Cut pork into 1 inch cubes and coat with flour, salt, and pepper (combine in zipper locked bag and shake).
    2. In a 10-inch skillet, cook pork and garlic in butter or margarine until pork is browned (about 10 minutes). Stir in pineapple (with liquid), onion, green pepper, honey, soy sauce and vinegar; simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
    3. In a small bowl or cup, dissolve cornstarch in cold water; stir into mixture in skillet. Bring to boil, stirring constantly until sauce is thick and clear. Serve over hot cooked rice.
