Whole Wheat Biscuits

  • 1 cup flour all purpose
  • 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup flour whole wheat
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder


    1. In a mixing bowl, combine flours, sugar, baking powder and salt; mix well. In a separate bowl or cup, combine milk and oil; add to flour mixture and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
    2. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead three to five times. Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness; cut with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet.
    3. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
