Yankee Corn Sticks

  • 3 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2/3 cup cornmeal yellow
  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup corn cream style
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 count egg


    1. Generously grease 12 muffin cups or cornstick pans; set aside. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
    2. Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt; sift together into a large mixing bowl. In another mixing bowl, combine milk, corn, oil and egg; blend well. Add corn mixture to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Do not over mix. Spoon or pour batter into corn stick pans. Muffin tin may be used in place of corn stick pans.
    3. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
