  • Ready Time: 1 Hour, 15 Min
  • Servings: 8 servings

  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1 package yeast active dry
  • 3 cup flour all purpose
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 count corn meal coarse

    1. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine flour and salt in a large mixing bowl; add yeast mixture and stir until dough forms a ball. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 2 minutes. Add additional flour as needed to keep dough workable, not sticky. Form dough into a ball and place in a greased bowl. Cover with a clean cloth and let rise for 1 hour.
    2. Grease two 12 or 14-inch pizza pans. Lightly sprinkle corn meal over pans for crust with a coarser texture, if desired; set aside.
    3. Divide dough into two equal portions. Flatten one portion of dough using your hands; press into one of the prepared piza pans. Repeat with remaining portion of dough. Top crusts with prepared pizza sauce, Italian seasonings, and the toppings of your choice.
    4. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
