Walnut Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 3/4 cup sugar Confectioners
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 count eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 can pineapple crushed 20 oz
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cup sugar

Directions

    1. Grease and flour the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan; set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. To prepare Cake: Combine sugar and eggs in a mixing bowl; stir to mix. Stir in vanilla. Sift flour and baking soda together; then add to creamed mixture. Add pineapple and mix well. Stir in walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan.
    3. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Spread topping on warm cake.

    5. To prepare topping: Combine butter, cream cheese, confectioners sugar, walnuts and vanilla in a mixing bowl; mix by hand; blend well.
