Ingredients

  • 36 large shrimp in shells
  • 3 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon old bay seasoning

Directions

    1. Thaw shrimp if frozen. Peel and de-vein shrimp, leaving tails intact.
    2. In a large saucepan bring 3 cups water and, if desired, 1 teaspoon salt to boiling. Add shrimp. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 to 3 minutes or until shrimp turn pink, stirring occasionally.
    3. Drain shrimp; rinse under cold water. Drain well. Chill by covering with ice in the strainer. Let stand for about 10 minutes. Remove ice.
    4. To serve, prepare 1 recipe Party Cocktail Sauce. Arrange the chilled shrimp in 6 lettuce-lined cocktail cups or glasses. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the sauce over each serving. If desired, serve with lemon wedges.
