Cake Brownies

Do not overcook these brownies. Check them at 15 minutes.


  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 count eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder


    1. Grease a 10x15x1 baking pan; set aside.
    2. In a large microwave-safe bowl microwave butter on 100 percent power for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until melted. Stir in sugar and cocoa powder until combined. Add eggs and vanilla. Using a wooden spoon, beat lightly until just combined.
    3. In a small bowl combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Add flour mixture and milk alternately to chocolate mixture, beating after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into prepared baking pan.
    4. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool 2 hours on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
