Cream Cheese Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup whipping cream
  • 4 count eggs
  • 6 ounce semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 8 ounce cream cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3/4 cup macadamia nuts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 8 ounce semisweet chocolate

Directions

    1. Line a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with foil;, extending foil over edges of pan. Grease foil; set aside.
    2. In a large heavy saucepan cook and stir the chocolate and butter over low heat until chocolate melts. Remove from heat; cool.
    3. In a large mixing bowl beat 2 of the eggs with an electric mixer on medium speed until foamy. Add the 1 1/4 cups sugar, water and 1 teaspoon of vanilla; beat about 5 minutes or until mixture is thick and lemon-colored. Beat in cooled chocolate mixture. Stir in the 1 cup flour, nuts, baking powder, and salt.
    4. Spread half of the batter in prepared baking pan; set pan and remaining batter aside.
    5. In a medium mixing bowl beat the remaining 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, cream cheese, 2/3 cups sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, and lemon juice with an electric mixer until smooth. Spread evenly over batter in pan.
    6. Spoon remaining batter evenly over cream cheese mixture. Swirl batter with a knife to marble. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 2 hours. Frost with chocolate glaze. Chill about 1 hour or until glaze is set.
    7. Chocolate glaze: In a small saucepan cook and stir 1/3 cup whippng cream and 6 ounces finely chopped semisweet chocolate over low heat until chocolate melts.
