Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 count eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves ground
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cup oats rolled
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup butter

Directions

    1. In a large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and if desired, cinnamon and cloves. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined.
    2. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour. Stir in rolled oats.
    3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool on a cookie sheet for 1 minute. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool.
