  • Servings: 24 servings

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup baking pieces white
  • 2 count eggs
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels

    1. Lightly grease a cookie sheet; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter for 30 seconds. Add sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl.
    2. Beat in eggs until combined. Beat in as much flour as you can with mixer. Stir in remaining flour. Stir in white baking pieces and chocolate pieces.
    3. Shape dough into two 9-inch long rolls. Place rolls on prepared cookie sheet; flatten slightly until about 2 inches wide.
    4. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 hour.
    5. Use a serrated knife to cut each roll diagonally into 1/2-inch slices. Place slices, cut side down, on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    6. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes. Turn slices over and bake for 7 to 9 minutes more or until dry and crisp. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
