BBQ Burgers

Ingredients

  • 4 count buns hamburger
  • 1 count hot pepper sauce
  • 1 count garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 pound ground beef lean
  • 2 tablespoon steak sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Directions

    1. For sauce, in a small saucepan combine catsup, steak sauce, water, sugar, vinegar, minced garlic, and, if desired, hot pepper sauce. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes. Remove from heat, set aside.
    2. In a medium bowl combine ground beef, salt, and pepper. Shape meat mixture into four 3/4 inch thick patties.
    3. For a charcoal grill, grill patties on the rack of an uncovered grill directily over medium coals for 14 to 18 minutes or until meat is done, turning once halfway through grilling and brushing once or twice with sauce during the last 5 minutes. Serve burgers on buns. Spoon any remaining sauce over burgers. If desired, serve burgers with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles.
