30 Minute Beef Stroganoff

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 12 ounce egg noodles
  • 12 ounce beef sirloin steak boneless
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1 count garlic
  • 2 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 cup mushrooms
  • 8 ounce sour cream
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 teaspoon beef bouillon granules


    1. Trim fat from meat. Thinly slice meat across the grain into strips (1/2" thick).
    2. Cook noodles according to package instructions.
    3. Slice mushrooms and onion and press or finely dice garlic.
    4. In a large skillet cook garlic, onion, and beef in butter over medium high heat for 5-10 minutes until meat is browned.
    5. In a small bowl stir together sour cream and flour. Stir in bouillon granules, 1/2 cup water and 1/4 teaspoon pepper; set aside.
    6. Add mushrooms and 1/2 c. water, cover and simmer for 5-10 more minutes.
    7. Stir sour cream mixture into skillet. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
    8. Cook and stir for a few minutes more.
    9. Serve over noodles.
    Note: Fresh garlic is always best in this recipe!
