Reuben Sandwiches

  • 3 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 6 ounce corned beef
  • 4 slice Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup sauerkraut
  • 8 slice rye bread or pumpernickel bread
  • 3 tablespoon salad dressing Thousand Island


    1. Spread butter on 1 side of each bread slice and salad dressing on the other. With the buttered side down, top 4 slices with sliced meat, cheese, and sauerkraut. Top with remaining bread slices, dressing side down.
    2. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook 2 of the sandwiches at a time over medium-low heat for 4 to 6 minutes or until the bread is toasted and cheese is melted, turning once. Repeat with the remaining sandwiches.
