Salmon Sauced Rigatoni

  • 8 ounce pasta rigatoni
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 2 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoon fresh dill
  • 1/2 cup yogurt plain
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 1 can salmon
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1 count green or red sweet pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup half and half or milk


    1. Cut onion and sweet pepper into bite-size pieces. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Keep warm.
    2. Meanwhile for sauce, in a medium saucepan cook onion and sweet pepper in hot butter until tender but not brown.
    3. Stir in 1 cup of the broth and the dill. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
    4. Stir together the remaining 1/2 cup broth, yogurt and flour. Add yogurt mixture to saucepan. Cook and stir 1 minute more.
    5. Gently stir in salmon; heat through. Serve sauce over hot pasta. Sprinkle with parsley.
