Popcorn Balls

NOTE: Its helpful to grease your hands before forming the popcorn mixture into balls. You can make them any size that suits your need.


  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 cup popped popcorn
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda


    1. In a saucepan, combine corn syrup, sugar and vinegar; bring to a boil. Add butter or margarine and boil for 2 minutes.
    2. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla, baking soda and food coloring (if desired).
    3. Pour sauce over popped popcorn and stir quickly to mix. Using your hands, form mixture into balls about the size of an orange.
