Easy Broccoli Soup

  • 1 can soup cream of chicken
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules or bouillon cube
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 5 cup milk
  • 1 package broccoli chopped frozen 10 oz
  • 2 tablespoon onion dehydrated
  • 1/2 cup Velvetta cheese cut in cubes


    1. In a mixing bowl, combine soup mix and 3 cups of the milk; set aside.
    2. In a large saucepan, combine remaining 2 1/2 cups milk, frozen broccoli, onion and salt; cook over medium heat for 7 to 9 minutes or until broccoli is cooked.
    3. Add reserved soup mixture to broccoli mixture, blending well. Combine flour and cold water in a small bowl or cup, stirring until smooth; then slowly stir into soup. Add butter and stir until thoroughly blended and heated through.
    4. Add cheese, making sure it is fully melted.
