Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 can beans kidney red
  • 1 can tomatoes whole peeled
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 medium onion

Directions

    1. In a large skillet, saute ground beef and onion until browned, stirring to crumble meat. Drain off excess fat.
    2. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, adding additional water if needed.
    3. Chili is delicious topped with any of the following: chopped onion, shredded Cheddar cheese, sliced black olives, dairy sour cream and tortilla chips.
