Swiss Fondue

  • 4 cup Jarlsberg cheese
  • 2 tablespoon flour all purpose
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 cup wine white dry
  • 1 count ground nutmeg
  • 4 count apples
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 count bread crusty french loaf


    1. Cut bread into bite-size cubes.
    2. Slice apples for dipping.
    3. Combine cheese and flour in a mixing bowl; toss to mix.
    4. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with halved garlic; then discard garlic. Pour wine into fondue pot and heat over medium heat until bubbles rise.
    5. Add cheese to wine, a small amount at a time, stirring after each addition until cheese melts.
    6. Stir in salt and nutmeg. Serve with bread cubes and apple slices for dipping.
