Tangy Oven Fried Catfish

  • 2 pound catfish fillets
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 count bay leaves
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/8 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


    1. Arrange fish in a shallow baking dish. Combine all remaining ingredients and pour over fish. Refrigerate for 45 minutes, turning fish once after about 20 minutes.
    2. Remove fish from sauce and place on a broiler pan. Broil fish four inches from heat for 5 minutes. Turn fish and broil for 5 to 8 minutes longer or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
