Shrimp and Snow Pea Stir Fry

Note: Fresh or frozen shrimp can be used. Thaw shrimp if frozen before preparing.


  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 count celery
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 6 ounce snow peas
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sherry dry
  • 3 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 12 ounce shrimp
  • 1 count salt
  • 1 count rice cooked hot
  • 1 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger root
  • 3/8 cup water


    1. Diagonally slice celery and thinly slice onion and mushrooms.
    2. Heat oil in large skillet or wok; add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Remove garlic and discard.
    3. Add celery, onion and fresh ginger to oil (if using ground ginger, add later with soy sauce). Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
    4. Add peas and mushrooms; cook and stir for 1 minute.
    5. Combine water, soy sauce, sherry, lemon juice and cornstarch; add with shrimp to vegetable mixture. Cook and stir until sauce boils and thickens. Add salt to taste.
    6. Serve over hot rice, if desired.
