Beef Barbecue

NOTE: This is best when prepared in advance


  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 teaspoon mustard prepared
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 pound chuck roast
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 3/8 cup Worcestershire sauce


    1. In a saucepan or skillet, combine all ingredients except meat; simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often.
    2. Remove fat from roast and shred meat.
    3. Add shredded meat to sauce and simmer for 15 minutes longer. Serve on buns, accompanied by cole slaw.
