Moms Apple Crisp

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 count egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 4 cup apples


    1. Place sliced apples in a greased baking dish.
    2. Mix together in a small bowl the brown sugar, cinnamon and 3 tablespoons of the flour. Sprinkle mixture over fruit, stirring in a bit with a fork.
    3. Topping: Beat egg until thick and lemon colored. Set aside.
    4. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add dry mixture to the beaten egg and mix together until crumbly.
    5. Sprinkle topping on apples. Drizzle the melted butter over topping crumbs.
    6. Bake for 35-45 minutes in 350 degree oven.
