Ingredients

  • 5 ounce espresso
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 count eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cup marscapone cheese
  • 5 teaspoon white sugar
  • 2 count egg yolks
  • 3 ounce Amaretto

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. To make the chocolate sponge cake whisk together the melted butter, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 4 eggs. Fold in flour and cocoa. Pour into a greased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
    3. Separately beat together the marscapone cheese, 2 egg yolks, remaining 5 teaspoons of sugar, and 1 ounce of amaretto.
    4. Soak chocolate sponge cake in 5 ounces of espresso and remaining 2 ounces of amaretto.
    5. In a large baking dish layer soaked sponge cake, melted white chocolate (optional), marscapone mix, sifted cocoa powder, shaved chocolate (optional)
    6. Chill and serve.
