Vegetable Soup a la Debbi

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup wine burgundy
  • 2 count bay leaves
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup barley
  • 1 package mixed vegetables frozen
  • 1 can V-8 juice
  • 1 package onion soup
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • 4 tablespoon flour
  • 2 pound stew meat lean

Directions

    1. Dredge meat in flour, salt and pepper.
    2. Brown (a few pieces at a time) in hot oil.
    3. Transfer to crock-pot. Add rest of ingredients and cook all day. Add more water if needed.
