Hot Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 package yeast Red Star
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 count egg
  • 4 cup flour

Directions

    1. Dissolve yeast in warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar. Set aside.
    2. Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg to sugar mixture. Add scalded milk to mixture. Stir to blend and let cool to lukewarm.
    3. When cool, add yeast mixture, flour and knead well.
    4. Let dough rest 20 minutes then shape into rolls and place on greased baking sheet.
    5. Let rise an hour and bake at 375 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes.
