Glorias Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 count bread loaf stale
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 quart milk
  • 3 count eggs
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoon whiskey

Directions

    1. Cut bread into small pieces and combine with milk, eggs, 1 cup sugar, vanilla, butter, raisins, nuts and cinnamon.
    2. Bake in a buttered 9x13 pan for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
    3. While cake is baking, combine 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup butter, flour, evaporated milk, and whiskey.
    4. Cook liquid until thick. Pour on top of bread pudding when it comes out of oven.
