Peppered Beef Brisket

Easy and inexpensive way to feed a lot of people. Always a hit!


  • 2 tablespoon cumin
  • 8 ounce soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 count beef brisket whole
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • 1/4 cup black pepper


    1. Trim fat and sprinkle brisket liberally with seasoned salt and garlic powder.
    2. Combine pepper, cumin, and soy sauce and pour over brisket. Let marinate overnight in covered container.
    3. Next day wrap meat and liquid in foil and bake in 300 degree oven for 3 hours. Remove from oven and allow to rest for another hour without removing the foil.
    4. Cool and slice thin for sandwiches. Serve on potato rolls with gourmet mustard and/or barbeque sauce.
