If you substitute round steak or stew meat in this recipe you will need to cook it longer as those cuts are not as tender. It will also effect the nutrition value.

  • 2 cup sour cream
  • 2 pound sirloin tip or lean cut
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 pinch nutmeg optional
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoon onion
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms
  • 16 ounce dry noodles
  • 1 count garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon flour

    1. Trim all fat from meat and cut into tidbits 1/2" wide x 1/2" thick. Season with salt and pepper, paprika and nutmeg, if desired.
    2. Heat butter in heavy skillet and brown meat. Lower heat and simmer for about 10 minutes or until meat is tender; remove meat.
    3. In same skillet, saute onion and whole garlic, then add mushrooms and let cook down.
    4. Remove garlic and add flour, stirring to mix. Cook 2 minutes longer. Slowly add sour cream.
    5. When mixture begins to bubble add Worcestershire sauce and meat, mixing thoroughly.
    6. Serve over cooked noodles (nutrition info does not include noodles; see package).
