Almond Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pinch nutmeg whole
  • 1 1/2 pound green beans fresh
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds

Directions

    1. Clean the green beans.
    2. In a microwave safe dish, combine the almonds and butter and microwave on high for 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Set aside to cool.
    3. In a 2 qt microwave safe dish combine the water and beans, cover and cook for 6 to 8 minutes till tender. Add the salt, nutmeg, almonds, and butter. Let stand, covered, for 3 minutes before serving.
