Sheri’s Snickerdoodles

I use Crisco for the shortening.

Ingredients

  • 2 count eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoon cream of tarter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup shortening

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening sugar and eggs.
    2. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, cream of tarter, and soda; add to creamed mixture. Chill for two hours.
    3. Combine 2 T. Sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll chilled dough into balls and roll in sugar/cinnamon. Place on cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
