Creole Pulled Pork

Ingredients

  • 5 pound whole pork butt
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1 tablespoon celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 2 tablespoon basil dried
  • 2 tablespoon oregano dried
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoon garlic powder

Directions

    1. Combine spices in a small bowl. Mix well. Add olive oil and stir until paste forms.
    2. Rub mixture above over entire pork butt. Place in roasting pan on a rack and bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. Lower oven temperature to 250 degrees and bake for 6 1/2 hours.
    3. Remove from over and let stand for about an hour. Using a fork pull pork.
