Honey Oat Bread

  • Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • Servings: 12 servings


  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup oats quick
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 1 1/2 cup flour whole wheat
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1 cup water


    1. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Allow to stand about 3-5 minutes.
    2. In a large mixing bowl combine dry ingredients, add liquids including water with yeast and stir.
    3. Knead by rolling out on floured surface or using a dough hook for about 3 minutes. Cover and let rise until double, about 1-2 hours.
    4. Punch down and form into loaf. Place in greased loaf pan and allow to rise again until double.
    5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Do not over bake.
