White Chocolate Bread Pudding

  • 1 count vanilla bean
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 2 ounce butter
  • 8 ounce white chocolate
  • 2 cup milk
  • 2 cup heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 6 large eggs


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Cut bread into 1 inch cubes. Place in 2 quart baking dish and drizzle with butter. Toss white chocolate with bread cubes.
    3. In a saucepan, combine milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla bean. Bring to a boil over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
    4. In a bowl beat eggs until smooth. Add hot milk mixture slowly, stirring constantly. Pour mixture over bread cubes and chocolate. Let stand for 10 minutes allowing bread to soak up liquid.
    5. Place baking dish with bread pudding into another larger baking pan. Pour hot water into larger pan until it is 1 inch deep. Bake for about 45 minutes to an hour or until custard is set and bread is golden.
