Oatmeal Walnut Chocolate Chip Bars

This recipes is good even without the chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 3 cup oatmeal
  • 12 ounce chocolate chips
  • 8 ounce walnuts
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 count egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup flour

Directions

    1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
    2. Combine flour, baking soda, salt; add to butter mix well. Stir in oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips.
    3. Drop onto cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Cool on a rack.
