Cheesy Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

    1. Combine first four ingredients in a large bowl; using a pastry blender cut in cheese and shortening until mixture is crumbly.
    2. Add buttermilk and stir just until mixture is moistened.
    3. Drop by tablespoons onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 450 degrees for 9 minutes or until tops are golden colored.
