Traditional Macaroni and Cheese

  • 2 cup macaroni
  • 2 cup Velveeta cheese
  • 2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 quart water
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs


    1. Bring water to a vigorous boil and add salt and macaroni. Boil for 10 minutes and drain. Pour into large casserole.
    2. In a sauce saucepan melt butter, add flour whisking until combined. Slowly add milk and heat until thickened. Add cheese and stir until melted.
    3. Pour over macaroni and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake until slightly browned, about 20 minutes.
