Browned Pork Chops with Gravy

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage leaves dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram leaves dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 count nonstick oil cooking spray
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 3/8 cup sour cream fat free
  • 1 tablespoon flour all purpose
  • 1 teaspoon mustard Dijon
  • 2 cup cooked noodles
  • 4 count loin chops boneless


    1. Trim fat from chops. Combine sage, marjoram, pepper and salt in small bowl.  Rub onto pork chops and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
    2. Meanwhile, prepare noodles according to package directions.
    3. Spray large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat.  Place chops in skillet and brown on all sides.  Cook 5-10 minutes, turning once, or until chops are just barely pink. Remove chops from skillet.
    4. Add onion and garlic to skillet; cook and stir 2 minutes; add broth. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; return pork to skillet, cover, and  back in and cover, simmer until pork is done.  (165 degrees)
    5. Meanwhile, combine sour cream and flour.
    6. Remove pork chops and add mushrooms.  Next add sour cream and flour mixture.
    7. Serve pork chops with noodles and gravy.
