Oriental Pepper Steak

  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Servings: 6 servings
Round steak my be substituted with sirloin. Be sure to slice meat very thin for best results!


  • 1/2 pound mushrooms
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 pinch ground red pepper
  • 1 medium green pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 pound beef round steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce


    1. In a large skillet cook peppers, onions, and garlic in oil for about 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
    2. Sprinkle meat with soy sauce and ginger and add to skillet (with more oil if necessary) cooking on medium for about 10 minutes. Turn occasionally to evenly cook meat. Add 1/2 c. water and cover for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
    3. Add vegetables from step 1 and mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes more. Add ground red pepper and serve. You may want to sprinkle with soy sauce and serve over rice.
